The problem happens when you attempt to use the Brother ControlCenter4 Scan to e-mail function and receive the following error message
This error happens even though you have an e-mail program such as Outlook or Thunderbird installed and configured as the default application for email.
Because ControlCenter4 is using the default MAPI settings and not the default program settings, ControlCenter4 fails to find your configured email application. Follow the simple steps below to fix this error.
1. Open Regedit and navigate to the following key
2. Right Click the Default Key and select Modify
3. Enter the name of your eMail Client. Thunderbird is shown here but use your installed email client.
